Our Reggie Full Bed brings clean-lined modern style to any bedroom. We designed this platform bed with a low-profile silhouette and solid wood slat support that eliminates the need for a box spring. The upholstered headboard in charcoal linen-blend fabric adds comfort for reading or relaxing, while the streamlined frame suits everything from minimalist studios to contemporary master suites.
We built the Reggie with engineered wood construction reinforced at every joint for stability you’ll feel the first night. The neutral finish works with any décor palette, and the full-size footprint fits standard 54″ × 75″ mattresses perfectly. Assembly takes about 45 minutes with our included hardware and illustrated instructions.

We construct the Reggie Full Bed frame from high-grade engineered wood with a scratch-resistant laminate finish. The headboard features 2-inch foam padding wrapped in a durable linen-blend upholstery that resists pilling and fading. Metal corner brackets reinforce each joint for long-term stability.
The slat system includes 10 solid wood slats spaced 3 inches apart to provide proper airflow and mattress support. We designed this spacing to work with memory foam, hybrid, and traditional innerspring mattresses without any additional foundation. The slats rest on center support rails that distribute weight evenly across the frame.

The Reggie Full Bed measures 80 inches long by 58 inches wide overall, with an interior mattress platform of 54″ × 75″ – the standard full size. The headboard stands 38 inches tall from the floor, making it comfortable for sitting up to read while providing visual balance in most bedrooms.
We built 10.5 inches of clearance under the bed frame, giving you storage space for flat bins, seasonal clothing boxes, or a robot vacuum. The footboard rises 12 inches from the floor, keeping bedding neatly tucked while maintaining the bed’s low-profile look.

Your Reggie Full Bed ships in two boxes with all hardware, tools, and assembly instructions included. We provide pre-drilled holes and clearly labeled parts to simplify the process. You’ll need a second person for about 10 minutes when attaching the headboard – the rest you can handle solo.
Most customers complete assembly in 30 to 45 minutes. We include an Allen wrench and all bolts, washers, and cam locks needed. You’ll attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard, install the center support beam, then lay the slats across the support rails.

Common Questions About the Reggie Full Bed
No box spring is needed. The Reggie features a solid wood slat support system with 10 evenly spaced slats that provide full mattress support. You place your mattress directly on the slats, which saves you the cost and hassle of purchasing a separate foundation. This slat system works with all mattress types including memory foam, hybrid, latex, and traditional innerspring.
We recommend mattresses between 10 and 12 inches thick for the most proportional look, though the bed accommodates any standard full-size mattress up to 14 inches thick. The side rails stand about 12 inches high, so a 10-12 inch mattress sits at a comfortable height for getting in and out of bed while keeping bedding neatly contained.
The Reggie provides 10.5 inches of clearance between the floor and the bottom of the bed frame. This space fits standard plastic storage bins, under-bed organizers, or even a robot vacuum. The full-size footprint gives you about 22 square feet of under-bed storage area – enough for seasonal clothing, extra bedding, or shoes.
Most of the assembly is easy to do solo, but we recommend having a second person help when attaching the headboard to the side rails. That step takes about 10 minutes and is much easier with someone to hold the headboard steady while you insert the bolts. The rest of the process – attaching the footboard, installing the center support, and laying the slats – one person can handle comfortably in 30 to 45 minutes total.
The headboard is attached with bolts and can be removed, but the bed is designed as a complete unit with the headboard as an integral part. If you remove it, you’d have exposed bolt holes on the side rails. We don’t recommend using the bed without the headboard, as it provides structural stability to the frame and completes the design aesthetic.
The bed has a maximum weight capacity of 600 pounds, which includes your mattress plus occupants. A typical full-size mattress weighs 50-70 pounds, leaving 530-550 pounds for sleepers and bedding. The reinforced corner brackets and center support beam distribute weight evenly to prevent sagging or frame stress over time.
The Reggie Full Bed is designed as a platform bed with fixed slats and is not compatible with adjustable bases. The slat system provides excellent support for standard mattresses.
