Each hide is inspected for grain uniformity and hand-selected to minimize variation within your furniture piece. Our aniline-dye process preserves the leather’s natural texture while adding rich, even color that won’t crack or fade with normal use.
The Charcoal colorway offers a versatile neutral that complements both warm and cool palettes. Cognac brings warmth and traditional elegance with honey undertones. Slate provides a contemporary gray-blue tone perfect for modern interiors. All three develop a subtle patina over time that adds character without looking worn.
Modular Configuration Options
The Silvester Chaise connects to any piece in our Silvester Modular Collection using hidden steel brackets that slide into pre-drilled channels. You can position the chaise as a left or right terminal piece, or float it independently as a statement lounger. The connection system requires no tools and takes about two minutes per joint.
Our most popular configurations pair the chaise with two or three armless chairs to create an L-shaped sectional. For larger rooms, customers often build U-shaped arrangements using two chaises at opposite ends with armless sections and a corner piece between them. The Silvester Chaise uses connection hardware specific to the Silvester Modular Collection and won’t physically connect to other Acme lines. The bracket channels and alignment pins are proprietary to this series.
However, the 32-inch width and 18-inch seat height match our Hampton and Westfield collections closely enough for visual compatibility if you’re simply placing pieces near each other without physical connection. For true modular functionality with secure brackets, stick with Silvester components throughout your sectional.
Blot liquid spills immediately with a clean, dry microfiber cloth—press gently rather than rubbing to avoid spreading the liquid into surrounding leather. For water-based spills, blotting alone is usually sufficient.
For oil-based substances or sticky residues, lightly dampen a cloth with distilled water and blot the area, then dry immediately with a separate cloth. Never use household cleaners, saddle soap, or products containing silicone or petroleum on aniline-dyed leather. Our Leather Care Kit includes a pH-balanced cleaner formulated specifically for top-grain upholstery if you need more than water.
The Silvester Chaise supports up to 300 pounds distributed across the seat in any of the 10 reclining positions. We load-test the mechanism and frame at all angles during development to ensure consistent capacity.
The position 10 full recline distributes weight most efficiently due to the increased surface contact with the cushion, while upright positions concentrate force on the seat pan. In all cases, the reinforced frame and steel reclining mechanism maintain structural integrity well beyond the 300-pound rating.
We currently offer the Silvester Chaise in three standard colorways: Charcoal, Cognac, and Slate. These colors are stocked and ship within our standard 2-3 week timeframe.
Custom leather colors are available through our Design Studio program for orders of three or more Silvester modules. Custom orders require 10-12 weeks for production and involve viewing physical leather samples before final color selection. The Silvester Chaise functions beautifully as a standalone lounge piece—you don’t need to purchase additional modules. Many customers buy just the chaise for reading nooks, bedroom corners, or home offices.
The modular connection points are concealed when not in use, so there are no visible brackets or holes. The clean-lined design and finished upholstery on all sides mean it looks intentional as a solo piece. You can always add compatible modules later if your needs change.
We recommend conditioning your Silvester Chaise every three to four months under normal use conditions. If your home has low humidity (below 40%) or the chaise receives direct sunlight for part of the day, increase conditioning frequency to every two months.
Use our Acme Leather Conditioning Kit or a pH-balanced product specifically formulated for aniline-dyed leather. Apply a thin, even layer with a soft cloth and buff gently after five minutes. Over-conditioning can actually attract dust and create a sticky surface, so err on the side of less product rather than more.
Your Silvester Chaise ships fully assembled except for the removable back pillow, which simply sits in place, and connection hardware if you’re building a sectional. Standard curbside delivery brings the chaise to your driveway or building entrance.
White glove delivery (available for an additional fee) includes room-of-choice placement, unboxing, connection of modules if applicable, demonstration of the 10-position reclining mechanism, and removal of all packaging materials.
